Styleframes of 1993
Branding Exploration
Process
CG spot reinterpreting what made the Memphis style movement so influential to this decade. Once described as “a shotgun wedding between Bauhaus and Fisher-Price” the Memphis Style movement was bold, active and vibrant. Incorporating pattern, this shot maintains playfulness while noting the common household items of the decade, such a inflatable furniture and CDs.
Consistency
The consistency between frames was important to show that each person interprets the decade in their own way. The pink and turquoise reflects pop music, inspired by female artists of that time. The designs that rely on stripes reflect alternative music.
